    YGIA POLYCLINIC RECEIVES THE BRONZE AWARD IN HR AWARDS A great reward for all of us, being awarded with the BRONZE award in the category 1.3 Best Youth Employment Initiative of the HR Awards, organized by Boussias Cyprus. Mrs. Pagona Liggou, the HR Director of the organization, who received the award, stressed the importance of being awarded with an HR Award and especially under this category. She, more specifically, stated: "This award is about the most significant asset of an organization, its human resources and more specifically about the young people and how they will manage to acquire the necessary working experience, which is a prerequisite in order to be competitive and survive in such difficult circumstances we are facing. It is a great fulfillment for us that we have become their starting point and the ultimate motive for self-development in order to become the greatest talents for YGIA Polyclinic." In the event, which took place in Nava Seaside Lounge and Restaurant, under the light of a full moon and the presence of the most important representatives of the Cyprus business world, YGIA Polyclinic was represented by Mrs. Liggou, HR Director and Mrs. Fortoma, Business Development and Marketing Manager of the Organization.   • Ygia Polyclinic's participation at the CSC Cyprus General Assembly

    YGIA POLYCLINIC'S PARTICIPATION IN CSR CYPRUS GENERAL ASSEMBLY YGIA Polyclinic, member of CSR Cyprus, has participated in the General Assembly, which took place today at Radisson Blu Hotel, in Larnaca, in the presence of its 50 members. CSR Cyprus is the National Business Network for Social Corporate Responsibility, which aims at raising awareness in the business world, networking for objectives' materialization, training, knowhow and special tools' dissemination, as well as empowering the needed changes. The Assembly was greeted by the Commissioner for the Citizen, Mr. Sentonas, as well as by the Commissioner for the Environment, Mrs. Klelia Vasiliou. Then the President Mrs. Elli Ioanidou, informed the attendees about the previous year as well as about key changes that are going to be promoted. Of great significance is considered to be the evolution of the name and purposes of CSR, which will now be interpreted as Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility instead of Corporate Social Responsibility. YGIA Polyclinic, as a responsible organization and employer, both towards its human resources and society in general, fully embraces in its daily operation and practice, what governs CSR Cyprus, adopting actions that promote the protection of the environment, the well-being of society and citizens, the fight against all kinds of inequalities in the labor market, equal access to social goods, as well as sustainable development in general.

  • Another major step towards the certification of a baby friendly hospital

    We are very happy and proud to announce that another successful step towards being certified as a BABY FRIENDLY hospital has been made! In our maternity hospital, we apply the 10 steps for a successful breastfeeding and for our whole team, breastfeeding is a natural development of pregnancy and childbirth. With proper information, training and guidance we have got the knowhow to promote and support breastfeeding. Our statistics, speak for themselves: Year 2021 Exclusive breastfeeding: 510 women Breastfeeding plus formula: 121 women No breastfeeding: 60 women January 2022 until 13.6.22 Exclusive breastfeeding: 138 women Breastfeeding plus formula: 28 women No breastfeeding: 22 women Our efforts will not stop here. We are determined to promote the unique advantages of breastfeeding for the infant and the mother and improve our statistics, even further!

    YGIA Polyclinic has participated today in the Annual Conference of the Cyprus Human Resources Management Association as Bronze Sponsor. The conference took place at Shakolas Education Center for Clinical Medicine, in Nicosia, where HR Professionals from all sectors had been present. It has been an International Conference, not only because of speakers from abroad, but also because of being broadcasted internationally. A great emphasis has been given to all characteristics that make an employer competitive and the 'absolute choice' for an employee.     YGIA Polyclinic has actively participated in the European Campaign of ECL – Association of European Cancer Leagues, aiming at the support of the patients and their families, especially in the workplace. An experiential workshop had been organized with the central message: 'Let’s break down the barriers about cancer and work". The Clinical Psychologist-Psychotherapist & EMDR Practitioner, Anthia Christodoulou Theofilou, was leading the workshop, motivating participants to exchange their experience regarding the ways to handle colleagues that are suffering from cancer, or colleagues, whose families have cancer patients.

  • YGIA Polyclinic’s Reaccreditation with the Cyber Essentials Plus

    YGIA Polyclinic’s Reaccreditation with the Cyber Essentials Plus for a sixth consecutive year We are pleased to announce our re-accreditation, for the sixth consecutive year, by UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) with Cyber Essentials Plus standards. During the second phase of the audit, which lasted three weeks and was completed on the 15th of June 2022, the whole Hospital’s IT networks, systems and infrastructure were tested against the latest Cybersecurity standards and requirements. The Cyber Essentials PLUS required a long process of a much more complicated and advanced assessment of the IT security controls and measures in place, which involved an internal and external vulnerability scans and penetration attacks, to test Ygia Polyclinic’s security defences’ resilience against sophisticated cyber-attacks. Our continuous compliance is a demonstration to the Hospital’s patients, Associated Doctors, suppliers, and other interested parties alike, that we take cyber security and information compliance seriously.
