YGIA Polyclinic supports the Prostate Cancer awareness event organized by Ypsonas Municipality, offering a free blood test for the diagnosis of prostate cancer (PSA) to 50 people. The event is organized, in the frames of MOVEMBER Awareness Campaign, on 24/11/2022 at 18:00 at Ypsonas Town Hall. The Associate Doctor of YGIA Polyclinic, Dr. Chryssanthos Kouriefs will be there to inform the public on key issues regarding prostate cancer, the importance of prevention, as well as methods of diagnosis and treatment.

Osteoporosis is a bone disease characterized by reduced bone mass (bone density), which increases the risk of fracture. One of the main causes of the disease is poor diet and lack of exercise. Osteoporosis mainly affects women with statistics showing that one out of three women over the age of 50 are affected by osteoporosis. The signs of osteoporosis appear before the age of 50 though, a fact which makes prevention imperative.
